MISS ME BUT LET ME GO
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free
Miss me a little-but not for long
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me, but let me go.
For this journey that we all must take
And each must go alone;
It’s all a part of the Master’s Plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me, but let me go.

Gentle Passings provided my family with compassion and support during one of the hardest moments of my life. When one of my beloved cats was diagnosed with terminal cancer, I knew I wanted her final moments to be at home—safe, familiar, and surrounded by love. It was an incredibly emotional and stressful time, but they made the entire experience as peaceful and supportive as possible.
Trish and Dr. Jody listened with such patience and empathy, never rushing me and always validating my role as her guardian. They guided me through her hospice journey, checked in regularly, and answered every question with genuine care. When the day finally came to let her go, they handled every detail with kindness, respect, and sensitivity. Their presence made an unbearable moment feel calm and full of love.
Their team is everything you hope for in this kind of service—kind, patient, supportive, responsive, and truly devoted to the comfort and dignity of both pets and their families.
